FAQs

  • We officially incorporated with the state of Louisiana on August 2nd 2024, so we're less than one year old!
We are wagging our tails at the opportunity to welcome new friends and furs to participate in the walking parade traditions of Louisiana.

  • This is still in progress.

Our attorney is currently working to finalize our bylaws for submission to the local state and federal government. All of our documents are in line for official non-profit status.

  • That depends on what you want!

Membership gives you the right to vote on and propose new activities for the krewe to participate in.
    Or
If you just want to walk with your fellow furry friends in a parade, membership grants you the right to register under our subkrewe for any parade that we participate in.

As a member you're also invited to participate in the members only section of our discord, and join in for fun outings and activities such as movie nights, museum visits, public suiting, photo ops, and much more.

  • The Paws and Claws Krewe was founded to create a welcoming environment to newcomers, known furs, pups, handlers, and anyone interested in furry life and parade participation.

Our goal is to support you, and provide opportunities for you to connect and meet new people while also showing off your individual flair.

  • Membership fees, donations, and sales all go into our krewe's bank account.

As we operate under non-profit guidelines all funds received on behalf of the krewe are reinvested in providing meaningful experiences for our members.

Examples of how we use our funds:

    • Equipment rentals for parades.

    • Space rentals and hosting costs to venues.

    • Creating throws for parades.

Our bylaws clearly state no salary shall be given to any member of the krewe, whether that be a director, council member, officer, or otherwise. Please view our bylaws page for more info.
